What a week!!

So much has happened in the last week or so. We have been blessed beyond measure! It all started with our landlord FINALLY agreeing that we needed a bathtub instead of a shower. The next day she showed up with the workmen and we had a bathtub by that night. In the process, she also agreed that closing in one of our balconies with windows would also be a good idea. She said it would be a great place to eat breakfast and drink tea, but we think it's great for storage and a 'laundry room'.

Last Monday, after a weekend of cleaning the mess that the workmen made in the bathroom, Landon and I left for Istanbul. I had Lasik done on my eyes there. A great friend, to whom I'll owe lots for a long time, had said that she would watch Landon if I ever wanted to have the surgery. I took her up on it and am thrilled to be able to see the world 24 hours a day! I have been having trouble going to sleep because I can see everything in the room - the laundry that needs to be done, the shelves that need dusting, the curtains that need straightening, etc. I'll have to get used to not looking at those things before I go to bed. It is SO wonderful to be able to read signs and see objects that I never would have been able to see just at the beginning of last week! Our time in Istanbul was fun! We not only got to spend time with Billy, Elizabeth, and Bailey, but Andrea and Adeline came over for some fun, too. You can see more pictures of Landon, Bailey and Adeline on Billy and Elizabeth's site.

We also got to visit with Erin and Jonya, but I didn't get any pictures. Also, Elizabeth took us to IKEA. I bought some organizing things...my most favorite is the spice racks. We've been home 2 days and Scott has already put them up!!

Here's Landon sitting on the boat back to Bandirma. We were both so ready to be home!

Now we're back and settling in. I am going to a women's retreat this weekend, so I can't wait to see how Landon and Scott do on their own!! Here are a few pictures of Landon today. And for those of you who are REALLY into Landon a long video him just playing.
