We went to the car wash yesterday. There was a line so Landon sat up front with us and "drove". He likes holding on to the steering wheel. The video in the car wash isn't all that entertaining, but Landon's faces are cute.

Well, this is something that most of you don't see every day, BUT WE DO!! There are lots of these around Bandirma. The horses' owners collect all sorts of stuff from the trash dumpsters and anyone who will give them what they're looking for: metal, plastic, wood, old furniture, etc.

Landon's newest discovery

Last night while we were eating Landon discovered that he could suck on his tongue. He did it for so long that I had a chance to get the camera and take some video. He just thought he was so funny!

This is a picture of Landon and Simra, his babysitter. She had us over for dinner last week and I finally remembered to bring the camera.

If Landon's mouth were in the right light, you'd be able to see two little bumps where he's getting his bottom teeth! But, since the light isn't right, it's just a cute picture!

More recent pictures of Landon

Landon has grown so much over the last month or two. He weighs about 20 pounds now and is quite the handful. If he's awake, he's moving! He really is such a joy for both Scott and I!

We celebrated the New Year with Scott and Cyndi and some believer friends. This is Landon in his party hat and PJs

Landon is learning to pick things up off the floor, so in this video he is practicing

You can see his noise maker from New Years is still a toy five days later!

I kept trying to get Landon to blow through his lips, but instead he made funny faces and laughed at himself!

Landon still loves his Boppy and now has a new toy that vibrates. When you turn on the toy he holds it to his mouth and sings

The last pictures of our trip to the States

We had a great time with our families at Christmas! It was so wonderful to be with them this Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's and then went to Scott's parent's on Christmas Day.

Apologies first...

I want to apologize to all of you out there who were hoping to follow our trip to America as it passed. We had technical difficulties and were unable to post pictures. So, I decided that without pictures, there was no point in posting. I'll go ahead and warn you that this will be a tremendously long post!!

That said, we had a great time visiting family and friends. We all adjusted quickly to the time change. Scott parents picked us up from the airport on Monday night (thanks Stan and Natalie and thanks Warren and Jennifer for meeting us there!) The first Wednesday we were there, we went to Scott's grandparent's church. They we soooo gracious to us. Scott spoke first to the adults and then to the kids and youth. Everyone was so attentive and the kids asked GREAT questions! They even threw us a surprise baby shower! I have never seen so many baby clothes in one place!!

We had fun at Stan and Natalie's hanging out with Warren and Jennifer and others who came to visit us. Scott and Stan went fishing, but didn't have much luck. Scott just enjoyed getting out in the lake and the boat!! Then we went to Ruston for a couple of days and on to Minden and Marshall. Scott spoke at our church (Antioch) on Sunday morning and our pastor friend's church on Sunday night.

Tech fans, here you go...we took a little Tech tour in between Landon's naps. Jennifer was a great tour guide! It was so nice to look around and think about how great it feels to NOT be in school anymore!!

We headed back to Pineville for the weekend. Scott got to do some hunting, but unfortunately, had no luck even seeing a deer. Scott spoke at Philadelphia BC on Sunday. We went to their Christmas Cantata on Sunday night. It was wonderful! Natalie had a surprise birthday party for Stan while we were there (he turned 50 on the first of January)

Then we went back to BR. Landon had a chance to visit "the farm" where my dad raises cattle. We have jillions of pictures of him riding various tractors, so I only included this one of him on the buldozer.

That's it for now! In the next couple of days I'll post Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the rest of the trip. Scott and I want everyone to know how blessed we are to have such wonderful families and friends. We loved seeing so many of you! Thank you for your continued prayers!
