Our trip to Budapest was so much fun! We had a great time visiting our friends (who were so gracious and let us stay with them for the week)! Landon misses playing with the kids - he's such a people person. One of the first things we did was leave Landon with our friends and have a night for ourselves. Scott made reservations at a hotel on the Danube and we ate at a nice Hungarian restaurant. Scott had been counting the days until he could eat pork, so of course he ordered the pork snitzel. It was HUGE!! You can see he wasn't even able to finish it!

The next day we met everyone and went to an indoor market. They sell everything from souvenirs to fresh fruits and veggies to imported goods. I bought some spices that I can't get in Turkey, some tortilla chips, and souvenirs. We also got some really good blue berries and raspberries.

We walked around some more and ate lunch at Subway (that was lots of fun since we don't have one in Turkey).

This is one form of public transportation that we rode. I think these are left over from the days of communism.

This is Landon after we got home. He's just being silly leaning back on the couch pillow.

The next day we went to the Royal Palace. It was destroyed in WW2, but was rebuilt to house several museums. We had a picnic there. You can see most of Budapest from the castle.

Later that day, Scott was in the subway and was so amazed by the silence, that he videoed it.

One of the last things we did was go to a park near our friend's house. We had so much fun because we just don't have good parks in Turkey.

A few pictures before vacation

We're leaving to go on vacation in Budapest tomorrow, so I thought I'd post a few recent pictures and videos of Landon.
Mom, this one is for you because you asked for a picture of Landon in this outfit. However, I couldn't get him to turn around!
