Just thought I'd share a few recent pictures with you. Landon has become quite mobile, but still isn't walking. He loves to "clean" things, as you'll see in the video. He'll use anything he can find - paper, cloth diaper, socks, etc.

We got a new couch this week. We sold the guest bed we had and bought a couch so that Landon can play mostly in the extra bedroom instead of the living room. I was starting to get a little embarrassed when guests came over because his toys were everywhere in the living room. You can see a glimpse of the couch in the picture where Landon is reading a book. I told my mom that I would never buy anything like it in the States, but here, it is totally normal - and I kind of like it!

I forgot...

We went to the doctor on Thursday. Landon got an MMR shot and 6 containers of yogurt. We get yogurt every time we go to the doctor. Landon managed to throw 2 of them on the floor and bust them (when you throw a container of yogurt on the floor from about 4 ft up, it goes EVERYWHERE!!) So...we left the doctor's office with 4 containers of yogurt and some bath samples (which Landon thinks are great toys!)

Anyway, he weighs 20.5 pounds and is 30 long.

He's so cute!!

Landon is growing up so fast! And doing some of the funniest things! Everyday, he does something that makes us say, 'where did he learn that?!'

He loves this garbage truck! He pushes it around and says, 'mmmmmm'! The he gets frustrated and ends up throwing it. It usually lands upside-down and he's content to spin the wheels:)

This is a great picture of his two teeth. He has two more that have just poked through at the top.

Landon is reading a book in the next two pictures. He can just look at books for about 5-10 minutes at a time! That's really long compared to how long he does other things!

Landon got these slippers for a birthday present from his friend Adeline. They make a 'ribbit' sound and light up. He likes them!

Another good picture of his two bottom teeth.

Landon's birthday celebration and more...

Today is Landon's birthday! He's one year old. We celebrated this past weekend with our friends and then he opened a gift from my mom (Gally) this morning.

He had a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and Winnie the Pooh paraphenalia (I'm not a Pooh fan, but we're pretty limited as far as party decorations go in Bandirma)

Landon's first and only bite of cake. He wasn't feeling well and didn't think the cake was very good!

Two new games for the Little Leapster!

Next are just a few fun pictures of Landon I've taken:
He loves air in his mouth!

You can't see it, but he's talking on the phone. He puts the phone behind his head and then turns and says, 'haa'.

We enjoyed the tackiest hotel ever!

This past weekend we met some friends in Erdek, a beach town close to us. We all stayed at this GREAT hotel! It had more artifacts and dead animals than I've ever seen anywhere! There was a talking parrot, a stuffed baboon, a stuffed ferret-looking thing, a huge Budda, lots of scary African carved women (I think they were women), TONS of obscene paintings, one of two keys to the big building in Mecca, three life size Chinese stone-carved men (supposedly from China), a mummy, a random basketball trophy from who knows where, half of a 'Roman' chariot, lots of gold painted Roman busts of men, huge crystal chandeliers and containers everywhere, and all kinds of things I can't remember! Each room was different. Our friends had a room completely wallpapered in zebra stripes with leopard trimmings: bedspread, lambs, chairs, etc. Our room was a bit Roman-like. To top it all off, the rooms for married folks had round beds! Unfortunately, Landon was scared of the Budda and gold busts, so we couldn't stay in the lobby for long! Scott got some video for all to see:
